Get Ready to dance, indulge and raise your steins at the 9th Annual Beaches Oktoberfest, October 11-12th. Join us for a weekend of music, great company, and unbeatable brews in Jacksonville Beach. The special event will feature 2 stages of live music including national headliner Gym Class Heros and World Renowned bands The Hip Abduction, Ballyhoo! and Tropidelic. In addition to great music, the event is well known for its variety of German, Oktoberfest and Craft beers, 60 local artists and makers, over 20 of Jacksonville's favorite local food trucks, an Enhanced VIP Bierhalle Experience featuring traditional Polka Bands and activities for all ages!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on event experience, meet new people, and enjoy the festival atmosphere while making a difference behind the scenes.

Description: Overview: Be the first point of contact for festival-goers as a Check-In Volunteer at Beaches Oktoberfest. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring attendees have a seamless entry experience. This is a great opportunity to interact with fans, help manage crowd flow, and contribute to the excitement of the event! Responsibilities: -Greet and welcome festival attendees with a friendly attitude. -Verify tickets and passes using electronic scanners or manual methods. -Distribute wristbands, festival guides, and other materials as needed. -Answer basic questions regarding festival schedules, venue layout, and amenities. -Assist with managing lines to ensure efficient crowd flow. -Address any ticketing issues and direct guests to the appropriate person if necessary. Requirements: -Excellent communication skills. -Attention to detail to ensure proper ticket and wristband validation. -Patience and a positive attitude when dealing with large crowds. -Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Perks: -Access to the festival when not on shift. -Opportunity to interact with a wide range of festival-goers and staff. -Volunteer swag and festival merchandise. -Behind-the-scenes experience in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Time Commitment: Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 6 hours per day, with shifts available throughout the festival weekend. Specific shift times will be assigned closer to the event.

As a Festival Operations Volunteer, you'll work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the festival, supporting essential logistics, production, and site management tasks. Responsibilities: -Assist with site setup and breakdown, including staging, tents, fencing, and other infrastructure. -Monitor and restock festival supplies (water, equipment, etc.) throughout the event. -Assist with crowd control, access management, and general safety measures. -Liaise with various festival departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations. -Troubleshoot on-the-ground issues as they arise. Requirements: -Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. -Excellent communication skills. -Flexibility and a positive attitude, even under pressure. -Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, moving equipment, etc.). -Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Responsibilities: -Assist with setting up stages, tents, barriers, signage, and other structures. -Help with the installation of festival décor -Unload and organize supplies and materials needed for the festival. -Support the setup of vendor and sponsor booths, as well as artist and VIP areas. -Ensure all necessary safety protocols are followed during setup -Assist with the setup of crowd control equipment like barricades and fencing. -Work closely with the operations team to complete all setup tasks efficiently and on schedule. Requirements: -Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items. -Attention to detail and commitment to safety. -Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. -Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. -A positive attitude and willingness to assist in various setup tasks as needed.
